I picked up this bit of news on Donnybrook Energy (DEI). Sheldon Inwentash, CEO and founder, of Pinetree Capital purchased 1,432,000 shares of DEI on November 15, 2011. This share purchase brings the total amount of shares owned by Sheldon Inwentash and joint actors to 24,433,600 common shares which is 12.6% of all the issued and outstanding shares of the company.

What has happened to the DEI stock price after this bit of news? It has gone from .45/share to .40/share over the past two days.

Of course this market does not make any sense. In a normal market when the CEO of a major investment firm increases his position in a junior oil and gas company that would be taken as a positive sign to move the share price higher. The insiders are scooping up great stocks at bargain basement prices and ignoring the opinions of the analysts and the newsletter writers.

I just wanted to add this bit info, the Discovery Channel series, "Alaska Gold Rush" is back for a second season. I don't know how real this "reality" show is, but it has interesting information on placer gold mining.
